Scope of Work: The recently completed project involved the construction of a new two-storey 1,437 m2 (15,462 sq.ft) industrial facility which incorporated an Office, Fabrication and Shipping/Receiving Areas for a private Client. Features of the building include a staff kitchen, Change Rooms, a production/fabrication shop, and two loading/shipping/receiving areas (complete with overhead doors).
The building was comprised of a load-bearing steel structure with a steel deck upon open-web steel joist and steel beam roof structure. Interior partitions consisted of both concrete block walls and steel stud with gypsum board finish. The exterior was comprised of architectural split-faced block and extensive use of an insulated exterior panel system by Vicwest.
The Interior finishes consisted of paint, ceramic tile & carpet tile, ceramic wall tile, exposed concrete floors, wayfinding sign, overhead doors, lockers, millwork, etc. Site work involved expansive asphalt paving, sodding and landscaping.
This project as a great example of Remo General Contracting Ltd.’s ability to provide ‘turn-key’ services at a fast pace.
